Flagler College is a great school for students that choose not to drive. The town of St. Augustine was developed before automobiles. This town is meant to navigate on foot. The rich history from the Spanish settlers to the luxury of the most elite citizens throughout history. The college is 5 min drive to the best beaches in Florida. The food plan is better than any other college. Everyone enjoys dining in the hall which is ornate with fancy wood work and Tiffany glass. If you're used to fine dining and luxury hotels this is the perfect college for you. The professors are great and I have no issues keeping a perfect grade point average. The streets are filled with tourist that come from all over the world to see the historic buildings. The town is booming with art and culture. The St. Augustine amphitheater boast many great top famous musicians. There are many art galleries scattered throughout the city. And the many pubs and clubs show case local talent. Flagler College rules!

I love Flagler and all the opportunities they have to offer students, they have a diverse community and is very inclusive within the campus. The classes are smaller, which makes it easier to connect with the professor and other peers. They have outstanding care for students achievement within their school and offer not only encouragement and support, but an abundance of resources for students.

I believe college is what you make out of it. I went into my freshman year of college on an athletic scholarship, excited and optimistic about the future. By the end of the year, I was exhausted, overwhelmed, and just wanted to transfer closer to home. I ended up quitting my sport, and in hind sight, my attitude and experience of my first year had very little to do with the actual school. Little did I know how many opportunities I was missing out on through Flagler. As a coastal environmental science and biology major, I am very passionate about all things nature and wildlife. I began getting involved with one of my professor's research projects out of many available. With the small classes, I am able to make meaningful relationships with my supportive professors that can guide me through my future goals. St. Augustine is an absolutely breathtaking city and I am so lucky that I get to learn about my passion while being surrounded by natural history and the beautiful environment.
