How to verify CGC number? ›

Enter a video game's CGC certification number (highlighted in the image) to confirm its description and grade in the CGC database. You can also scan a video game's QR code with your phone. This tool can help you to verify that your CGC Video Games holder is genuine and has not been tampered with.

Unfortunately, if the signing is not witnessed by someone authorized by CGC, then the signature cannot be authenticated for the Signature Series label. Certificates of Authenticity, testimonials, photographs, video recordings and any other proof of signing are not accepted.

The CGC Signature Series Label

In select instances, CGC may accept signed books directly from the signer or publisher. The signatures are then authenticated by CGC with labels indicating who signed them, when they were signed and, in some cases, where they were signed.

Standard Card Grading Scale. A Pristine 10 is a virtually flawless card to the naked eye. The centering is 50/50, and the card has flawless color and registration. All cards that merit a CGC Pristine 10 grade will receive a special CGC Cards Pristine 10 label.

CGC states that grading can take 106 to 133 days. A fee of $75 can reduce this time to 44 days, and an express fee of $120 can reduce this time to 17 days. Books over $3,000 in value are turned around in an expected 10 days.

Today, CGC is the world's largest and most trusted third-party grading service for comics, trading cards, video games, home video, magazines, concert posters and related collectibles with more than 15 million collectibles certified since 2000.

If you selected pressing and grading then you would be charged for the pressing first once the order is logged in and verified and the invoice starts the pressing process. You won't be charged for grading until the order moves from CCS to CGC which can take quite some time depending on the tier you selected.

Many elements make a COA valid: the name of the artwork, the artist's name, when and how it was made, the type of canvas, its size, the QR code, the certificate ID, and more. Artists frequently use certificate templates to ensure they don't miss any important details that are crucial for certificate validation.

Can you trust a certificate of authenticity? ›

When creating a certificate of authenticity, it is important to note that they aren't legally binding. Essentially, anyone can create one. There are no universal standards for certificates. This means that a lot of the time within the art-world, there can be fraudulent certificates circling.

Now, when collectors enter a collectible's CGC certification number to confirm its description and grade in the CGC database, they will also be able to reference an image of the collectible. This will help collectors verify that their CGC holder is genuine and has not been tampered with.

In short, yes. 90% of comics are graded using CGC or CBCS, and among those two, CGC has the better reputation and generally higher values due to that reputation. CBCS is mostly comparable, just less popular, so many collectors prefer CGC-graded comics.

Return shipping via USPS Mail

For completed submissions being delivered to a US PO Box, CGC generally ships via USPS Mail with insurance coverage of up to $100,000 per package procured by CGC. USPS Mail will generally be slower than FedEx, however. CGC is not responsible for the speed of shipping services.
