Best Analog Digital Watches in 2023 (2024)

We’re going to look at 14 of the best analog-digital watches on the market. Analog-Digital watches are the best of both worlds; they’re a classic timepiece with the traditional look of an analog display with a handy digital panel. These kinds of watches let you easily separate functions at a glance. Mostly, you’ll find this category of watches aimed at sports enthusiasts.

Best Analog Digital Watches in 2023 (1)

We’re covering a breadth of options from the old to the new at various budgets. Mostly, you’ll find that these watches are suitable for casual wear, but there are a few luxury ones sprinkled in to give you a varied overview of your options.

Full disclosure, Casio certainly makes the best analog-digital watches. We’re going to look at three from them in particular, and we’ll start with the most expensive and work our way down.

Casio

G-Shock Mudmaster (GG-1000-1A)

Firstly, we’re starting the Casio collection with the priciest and the newest model from the Mudmaster range. G-Shock has a reputation for being durable and rugged, and this latest Mudmaster is no exception. Of course, the clue is very much in the title that this range is resistant to water, mud, and dirt.

This is thanks to the gaskets keeping debris out of the watch. The bulky 56.2mm stainless steel and resin case is also shock-resistant. What’s more, it offers 200m water resistance.

On the face, of course, there’s an analog display with Arabic numerals and index markers. The digital side of it comes from a compass, temperature reading, five alarms, a stopwatch, and up to 31 timezones. Furthermore, you can see all this clearly thanks to an automatic LED light which is high brightness.

You can find this unrelenting beast for around $240.

Baby-G MSGS200-7A

Best Analog Digital Watches in 2023 (3)

Showcasing exactly what Casio can do here by bouncing over to the more feminine option, the Baby-G MSGS200-7A. But don’t be fooled; it’s no less tough.

It’s still water-resistant to 100m with a resin and 38mm stainless steel case. What’s extra special is that this Baby G has Casio’s famous Tough Solar feature, therefore, all you need is direct sunlight hitting the solar panel.

On the face, you get a round display with index markers. The digital part of this analog-digital combination comes from the display at the 6 position. Again, you get similar features to those you’ve seen on the Mudmaster: auto calendar, one daily alarm, 21 time zones and 48 cities, a countdown timer, stopwatch, and this is lit up by the Super Illuminator LED backlight.

We’ve chosen the white and rose gold option for contrast to the above, but there are a few different colours with complementing strap materials.

You can get this model for around $180.

Men’s FT600WB-5BV Forester

This Casio has a unique look. The Forester is a slimmer, 36.5mm watch with vintage design and ruggedness that extends to a water resistance of 100m.

Featuring an off-white dial, stainless steel brown bezel and combination leather and nylon strap, this timepiece is certainly quite the looker.

The face itself offers a dual time feature, Arabic markers and black hands. The digital panel spreads between the 5 and 7 positions.

Features-wise, there aren’t many frills; there’s the day, date, and month displays and a stopwatch.

Above all, it’s under $30!

AQ-230A-7BMQ

For our final stop on the Casio tour, we reach a classic-Casio look. This is another vintage style, though from another era to the Forester. Featuring an analog display with Arabic markers and an index. The digital panel sits at the 6 position.

Again, similar features; an auto calendar, daily alarm, stopwatch, 12 and 24-hour time formats, and an am/pm display.

Though this is marketed as a men’s watch, we think it’s a beautiful unisex look.

You can purchase this Casio for under $35.

Timex

Best Analog Digital Watches in 2023 (7)

Men’s Expedition Katmai

Timex is largely famous for its cost-accessible but durable timepieces. The Expedition range is a simple, functional, and outdoor kind of watch. The Expedition Katmai Combo is a 40mm resin case and fabric band. Though you may not want to expose it to water too much if you’re using a fabric strap, it’ll still give you up to 50m water resistance, which is fine for light rain and splashes.

The grey dial offers, of course, both an analog and digital display. The analog has Arabic numerals and index markers with orange accents. The digital display is at the 6 position.

This range offers a few different designs and materials, from resin to fabric, with either a black or white dial. All versions have the trademark Indiglo backlight.

You can buy this watch for just under $50.

Tactic DGTL Combo

When it comes to the best analog-digital watches, we love the gnarly look of this second Timex on the list. This is a budget-friendly, chunky, 53mm resin watch with matte colouring and stainless steel accents.

It’s a combination watch, so you naturally get index markers with a second, minute and hour hand. Sitting behind that is your digital element, which gives you two time zones and 24 hour time format. What’s more, there’s a day, date, month calendar format, a stopwatch and alarm. Also on this watch is the Indiglo backlight.

The green and grey are particularly attention-grabbing. Other color combinations of the watch include black, grey and red; dark grey; and green-grey. All models are water-resistant to 50m.

This eccentric looking piece of kit is under $30. For a Timex, this is a bargain.

Naviforce

Mens Analog Digital Chronograph

Naviforce has a lot of analog-digital watches in its artillery. This is a Chinese brand, established nearly 10 years ago to make military watches en masse.

Considering the budget price of less than $35, you get some bang for your buck—water resistance to 30m, durable zinc alloy case, and hardened mineral glass. The strap is stainless steel, which is comfortable and durable for daily wear. What’s more, it’s also shock-resistant.

Inside is a Japanese Quartz movement that is both long-lasting and accurate.

The face is crowded with features. It has a multi-kinetic energy dial. This gives you hour indexes, second, minute, and hour hands, as well as a chronograph for the day, time, and date and, finally, a tachymeter.

It comes in five delicious colour combinations, too. We like the coffee and gold.

Citizen

Promaster Navihawk A-T JY8030-83E

This is probably the busiest watch on our list. If you’re into features, you’re going to love this.

The black face has a lot of small print in white, which will not appeal to everyone. But those who need accuracy rave about it. Thanks to the fact it is synchronized to the atomic clocks around the world. It has a chronograph and Citizen’s branded Eco-Drive, meaning it can get power from any source of light (not just sunlight) and a water-resistance rating of 200m.

The 48mm stainless steel, silver-toned case has a complementing mesh bracelet.

You can get this watch for under $440.

Hamilton

Khaki Aviation Flight Timer

The Hamilton Khaki Aviation Flight Timer isn’t in production any more, but you can still find it on retail sites.

This is a 40mm stainless steel Quartz analog-digital watch dedicated to pilots but still water-resistant to 100m.

The standout features of this watch include a chronograph, alarm, countdown timer, two time zones, a temperature display and a perpetual calendar.

You should be able to find this online for around $610.

Tissot

T-Touch Expert Solar II

This Tissot is an exceptional example, and the reason it makes the list of the best analog-digital watches is that it’s got the biggest digital element compared to others on this list. In fact, the display is a touch screen!

The T-Touch range relies on solar power, thanks to small sensors on the dial that absorb sunlight. Specifically, it needs natural sunlight, but it can also get the power it needs from artificial light, much like a Citizen Eco-Drive. Meaning the battery will go for months at a time.

Regarding the touchscreen, the Expert Solar II has Tissot’s branded Tactile Technology, making it pretty close to a smartwatch. It has an alarm, compass, altimeter, and chronograph.

It’s also a handsome watch! If you liked the coffee and gold Naviforce, you might like the brown version of the Expert Solar II. It has a black dial with black luminous hands. It also has a ceramic bezel ring.

The 45mm case is made of titanium, and the dial is protected by sapphire crystal, an incredibly scratch-resistant material. The 22mm band is brown leather. Additionally, it’s water-resistant to 100m.

You can get this watch for just under $350. Which, considering the materials being used, is a great price.

Junghans

Force Mega Solar

Junghans’ style is minimalist and beautiful, evident in this gorgeous analog-digital watch. The design is wonderfully simple, with only two functions.

This watch has a combination of solar power and radio tech for longevity and accuracy. The Force Mega Solar has a mineral crystal protecting the face, which isn’t the strongest, but a close second. The bracelet, however, is made from durable ceramic with a titanium clasp. The case is a reasonably-sized 40.4mm.

For just under $1,550, we’d expect to see at least a sapphire crystal, so it’s a 99% flawless timepiece.

Breitling

Professional Aerospace Evo

Here we have a luxury analog-digital, Swiss-made watch from Breitling. The most wonderful thing about it is how it still nods toward the brand’s first model, introduced back in 1985.

The Professional Aerospace Evo offers a perpetual day and date calendar, countdown timer, chronograph, two time zones, an alarm and a backlight.

The dark grey dial, protected by sapphire crystal, has oversized Arabic numerals at 3, 6, 9 and 12 with smaller numbers between. The 40.7mm case is made from brushed titanium, and it has a distinctive branded rubber strap. There’s certainly a lot of Breitling branding present! For increased durability, there’s also 100m water resistance.

Considering this is a luxury watch, we don’t think $3,000 is out of line.

Omega

Speedmaster Skywalker X33

Going one up on pilots, the Omega Skywalker X-33 was designed for astronauts! In particular, this model is an upgrade on the Professional X33, released in 1998. Specifically, it was created for and approved by the European Space Agency to be used on missions.

This final stop on the list of best analog-digital watches is another luxury model.

It has a 43mm, brushed, Grade II titanium case with a matching bracelet. The dial has a liquid crystal face with a luminous backlight. If needed, the hands can even be disconnected if you’d rather depend on the digital display.

The black dial utilizes white hour markers. As for the digital side, it’ll give you three time zones and as many alarms, a chronograph, countdown timer, and perpetual calendar.

You can find this incredible timepiece for just under $5,500.
