Before You Arrive
- Register for a Campus Visit or Admission Event
Experience Flagler College first-hand by taking a guided tour with a current student. Register for a Daily Visit Experience, open to prospective and admitted students and their families. You’ll learn more about the College and our admissions process while getting to picture your Flagler experience through the eyes of our friendly Student Ambassador tour guides.
You can also register for special events like the upcoming Campus Visit Day on March 2 or the Admitted Students Day on April 19. Once you’ve registered for tour or special event and you’re ready to plan your trip to St. Augustine, take advantage of this additional Travel Information from the Office of Admissions.
- Plan Your Parking
St. Augustine’s layout, designed for foot traffic in 1565, can make parking challenging.
Paid parking lots are located throughout the downtown area and on-street parking is available in many areas (metered/ pay station). On-street parking ($2.50 per hour) is enforced with a four-hour limit, Monday-Saturday, excluding national holidays.
The closest metered parking is one block from the Main Entrance (74 King Street) on Granada Street behind the Lightner Museum.
The Historic Downtown Parking Facility at 10 S. Castillo Drive is open 24/7 and conveniently located near major attractions.
When you’re on campus
- Visit the Ponce de Leon Hall
The former Hotel Ponce de Leon, now a National Historic Landmark, is the heart of Flagler College. Marvel at the Spanish Renaissance-inspired
architecture, Louis Comfort Tiffany stained-glass windows, and grand dining hall.

- Explore the Ringhaver Student Center
Ringhaver Student Center is the social hub of Flagler’s vibrant campus life. The Student Center houses The Bistro, a small food court featuring Chick-Fil-A and Bento Sushi as well as a Recreation room decked out with ping-pong/ pool tables and video game stations. If you stop by on a cool evening, check out the cozy fire pit on the Student Center back patio.

- Visit the Castillo de San Marcos
Explore the oldest masonry fort in the continental U.S., a symbol of St. Augustine’s rich history. It’s as easy as taking a self-guided tour of
Castillo de San Marcos or enjoying the views of the bay and the city from the ramparts. You may even be able to watch a cannon firing demonstration.
- Stroll Along St. George Street
Saint George Street is the main pedestrian street in St. Augustine’s historic district. It’s the ideal stretch to shop, dine, and soak up the atmosphere. You’ll find a variety of shops, galleries, museums, and restaurants, offering everything from souvenirs and antiques to ice cream and pizza. Take notice as you stumble upon some of the oldest buildings in the city, like the Oldest Wooden Schoolhouse and the Colonial Quarter.
Enjoy Florida’s First Coast
